Instrumentation Grants

The Office of Shared Scientific Resources coordinates Dean’s Office review and approval of Shared Instrumentation Grant (SIG) and High-End Instrumentation (HEI) grant applications. Investigators interested in applying for an instrumentation grant should complete this form before routing their grant through Cayuse.

To facilitate submission of SIG and HEI grant applications, the office maintains an updated table of publication acknowledgements for instruments funded by SIGs and HEI grants awarded in the last five years which is now a NIH-required component for SIGs and HEI grant applications. Competitiveness for future grants will be dependent on acknowledging use of SIG supported instruments to generate data in publications. Please contact us with any questions.

Grant Proposal Support

The Office of Shared Scientific Resources maintains a file with language for describing cores/resources that is suitable for inclusion in grant applications. Individual documents for each core are linked below. Investigators are strongly encouraged to talk with core directors about including salary support for core staff on grants for projects where a large volume of work is anticipated.
