URM Faculty Group URM Faculty Group Under the five-year plan of the department of medicine, we are committed to both the recruitment and retention of those who are Underrepresented in Medicine (URM). The URM Faculty Group was started in 2021 to provide a brave space for URM faculty to discuss issues, collaborate on research, engage with leadership, and establish mentoring relationships. We also have bi-monthly meetings, as well as bi-annual workshops pertaining to career development with our Housestaff Committee on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
