A Message from Our Associate Chair

Dr. Alyson Myers, associate chair of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), describes department of medicine programs and initiatives aimed at increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the healthcare workplace both at Montefiore Einstein and beyond. This includes, but is not limited to, increasing the diversity of trainees and members of the department of medicine; creating an inclusive workspace for all department members; devising health equity metrics; and training members of the department on issues of DEI.

Visiting Medical Student Elective Program

Visiting Medical Student Elective Program: K619 Navigating Care for Marginalized Patients, Populations, and Providers

The Visiting Student Elective (June3-30, 2024) is open to Internal Einstein students and visiting medical students (from LCME-accredited medical schools) who have an interest in health care disparities. The elective will assist students with inpatient and/or outpatient exposure for four weeks of either dermatology or primary care/medicine subspecialties.
