Diversity Council

The department of medicine diversity council is dedicated to upholding the department’s five-year strategic plan by:

  • Tracking data in an inclusive manner
  • Creating pathways for career advancement for junior faculty
  • Supporting faculty mentoring in research, medical education, and administration tracks
  • Implementing DEI training of all members of the department
  • Building pay equity
  • Creating and assessing metrics for recruitment and retention

The diversity council is comprised of faculty from the department of medicine’s 14 divisions, as well as residents and fellows, support staff and members from our community programs throughout Montefiore Einstein.
