M.D. Program

Outside Opportunities for Research

There are myriad outside opportunities for students attending Einstein. These run the gamut from educational to social, and include such activities as one of the most robust global health initiatives available at any medical school; involvement in community student-run healthcare clinics; research involvement over months to years, in the summer between first and second years, in the fourth-year elective program and, for many of our students, during a year’s leave of absence between the third and fourth year. Students also may pursue Master’s degrees in public health, bioethics, clinical research or other areas. While research and Master’s training experience is certainly available at Einstein, students are free to seek these experiences elsewhere, as well.
