About NYC RING Convocation

The NYC RING Convocation of Practices is an annual gathering of clinicians, researchers, and investigators from across our network of partner sites. This event showcases the wide variety of practice-based research and quality improvement activities being conducted across our network. Convocation is an excellent opportunity for NYC clinicians, researchers, and scholars to connect, share ideas, and discuss future collaboration.


The 2023 NYC RING Convocation of Practices will take place on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023 at the Price Center/Block Research Pavilion at Albert Einstein College of Medicine featuring a keynote address from Dr. Rowena Dolor, MD, MHS, FACP and a poster session showcasing a wide variety of practice-based research and quality improvement activities.

Meet Our 2023 Keynote Speaker

Dr. Rowena J. Dolor, M.D., M.H.S., F.A.C.P. is a highly respected physician and researcher committed to advancing primary care clinical and outcomes research. She has directed the Primary Care Research Consortium for over two decades, leading numerous studies to inform and enhance primary care, both for patients with various medical conditions and the clinicians who care for them. Rowena’s distinguished leadership, research expertise, and extensive contributions to the development of Practice-Based Research Networks demonstrate her profound dedication to transforming healthcare knowledge and delivery.

Call For Abstracts

NYC RING invites you to share your work with our community of clinicians, researchers, and scholars at the 2023 Convocation of Practices on November 14th!

Submissions are now open to individual investigators or interdisciplinary teams pursuing research and quality improvement questions relevant to primary care, including:

  • prevention & screening
  • health services and delivery research
  • implementation science
  • community health
  • social determinants of health and social care

Funded research, pilot studies, and quality improvement projects from any clinical area are welcome, provided that the aims have implications for primary care. Completed studies as well as works in progress will be considered.

We are particularly interested in implementation studies and topics related to cancer screening, complex care coordination, social care integration, and health equity. Poster session attendees will have the opportunity to vote for best presentations, and honorees will be announced by NYC RING and presented with an award following Convocation.

To submit your project, please prepare an abstract of no more than 300 words and complete the form at the link below. Selected projects may be presented in either poster or storyboard format. Display requirements and submission instructions are detailed at the beginning of the submission form.
