Two clinical research units, one each at the Einstein and Montefiore campuses, are available for adult and pediatric patient-oriented research. Facilities are available for physical exams, intensive procedures, private interviews, and most types of data collection.

Our leadership and staff can assist investigators with study feasibility, operations, specimen processing and storage, laboratory testing, and safety monitoring. They also provide training and ensure compliance with all federal regulations, Montefiore Einstein and NIH policies. CRC staff are trained to support the full range of bench-to-bedside research. The CRC provide laboratory space on premises for sample processing, transport to Pathology, or shipping samples to outside laboratories, well-equipped examination and consultation rooms for physical exams, intensive procedures, private interviews, and most types of data collection, a full kitchen to accommodate nutrition and diabetes studies, staff offices, and a conference room.

- The CRC provides laboratory space on premises.
- The CRC supports a diverse research portfolio including early to late phase NIH and industry-supported clinical trials, deep phenotyping for precision medicine, behavioral studies, and observational cohort studies.
- The CRC serves ~150 active protocols with ~3,000 annual patient encounters.
- The CRC provides services to the IDDRC Human Phenotyping Unit, Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center, Diabetes and Aging Clinical Trials Units, and Psychiatry Research Institute of Montefiore and Einstein.
