Event Description
It is summer and many of our patients are traveling and some will experience fever on return. The evaluation and differential diagnosis of fever in returned travelers should be guided by the patient's clinical findings, travel geography, administration of vaccinations and malaria chemoprophylaxis, the nature and timeframe of potential exposure(s), and the incubation period(s) of the relevant possible infections. This interactive case based session will review the approach to differential diagnostics and workup for the traveler returning with a fever. This is the inaugural session in our IDSNY Fellow series: Please join us and get to know other ID fellows in NYC!!!
