Selection Process
Applicants to the program must have completed an accredited residency training program in family medicine, internal medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation or neurology. Candidates must be in good standing and be either board certified or board eligible.
A selection committee, comprised of the Medical Director of the Palliative Care Service, the Program Director of the Fellowship, and at least two (2) members of the core palliative care team, will review each application received. Selection of candidates to interview will be based on the following:
- Proven clinical competence
- Excellent communication skills
- Prior training and commitment to Hospice and Palliative Medicine
- Feasibility of success in the field
Application Preparation
All applications will be reviewed through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) program. This fellowship program participates in the National Residency Matching Program.
