Office of Grant Support

Grant Advisory Service

"I would like to thank the Office of Grant Support (OGS) for helping us prepare our recent grant. As a result, we submitted a stronger, more persuasive application (UG3) that was funded on the first submission. I highly recommend the OGS grant writing services to other Einstein investigators."

The College is now offering a grant proposal advisory service to Einstein investigators. The purpose of this service is to aid investigators in generating high quality, polished proposals in order to increase their chances of securing funding for their research. The specific aspects of the service are described below. The grant advisor is Dr. Tanya Dragic, formerly an Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Einstein.

Dr. Dragic’s immediate area of expertise is virology. During her research career, she made significant contributions to understanding the mechanism of entry into target cells of the Human immunodeficiency virus and the Hepatitis C virus. She has published numerous reviews and peer-reviewed articles in major scientific journals in her field. Dr. Dragic also has a substantial background in microbiology, microbial pathogenesis and immunology, as well as broad familiarity with molecular and cellular biology, genetics and biochemistry.Throughout the course of her research career Dr. Dragic was awarded a number of NIH grants, including R01s, R21s and SBIR grants, as well as several awards from private foundations. She was a reviewer on several NIAID study sections. Given her research experience and skill in writing/editing, Dr. Dragic's services will become an important part of Einstein's grant support efforts.
