Dr. Kinkhabwala notes that many young adults with acute kidney disease opt for a transplant over regular dialysis, which can be a time-consuming and tiring process. Dr. Kinkhabwala is professor of surgery at Einstein and chief of the division of transplantation at Montefiore Medical Center.
