Reunion 2023

Your Reunion is not only a time to reconnect with old friends and spend time on campus; it’s also a time to reflect on the role Albert Einstein School of Medicine has played in your professional and personal lives. We often hear how Einstein has contributed to our graduates’ success throughout their careers. Please consider helping the next generation of medical students benefit from an Einstein education by making a class gift in honor of your Reunion.

Your gift will help shape Einstein for generations to come. It will strengthen our standing as a top research institution and help us train exceptional physicians who will someday lead breakthrough research and provide world-class medical care with the utmost compassion. This is the power of your investment. This is your legacy. Your gift will be counted toward your class year’s giving total, which is measured in two ways: total dollars committed and class participation rate. All gifts and pledges during your Reunion year are recognized in the class total (after all, it wouldn’t be Einstein without a little healthy competition!).

Frequently Asked Questions

All gifts and pledges to any area of Einstein during calendar year 2023 will count toward your Reunion class goal. The total amount of multi-year pledges, planned gifts, and bequests confirmed during your reunion year will also count. Alumni making gifts of $1,500 or more to the Annual Fund will be recognized as members of the 2023 Dean’s Society, which celebrates the leadership and impact of generous donors who provide critical support to Einstein.

Endowing a Named Scholarship Scholarships make a critical difference for students pursuing medical education. Alumni can impact students for generations to come by endowing a named scholarship. This year, named scholarships can be created with a gift $50,000 or more, payable over up to five years, which will be matched dollar-for-dollar by an anonymous donor to create a $100,000-plus endowed scholarship.

For more information about the match or creating a scholarship in your name or honoring a loved one, please contact Min Um-Mandhyan at 718.430.4171 or min.um-mandhyan@einsteinmed.edu.

Legacy Gifts
Legacy gifts are a meaningful way to honor Einstein’s history of medical education and research and help strengthen programs for future generations. There are several ways to create your legacy and benefit Einstein in your estate plans: a gift in your will, IRA charitable rollover, life insurance beneficiary designation, charitable remainder trusts, or a securities transfer.

We encourage you to explore this opportunity with Michael Divers, Planned Giving Officer, at 718.430.2685. He can help you design a gift that supports Einstein and fits your and your family’s goals. The full amount of a legacy gift made for the Reunion will be counted toward the class total.

A five-year pledge allows you to plan your personal philanthropy, helps Einstein plan for the future by providing steady income, cuts down on the number of annual solicitations, and keeps you connected to the school until your next reunion. Best of all, the sum of your five-year pledge counts toward your class gift!

Common five-year pledges include the following:

  • $100,000: Endowed Scholarship pledge of $20,000 annually for five years*
  • $50,000: Endowed Scholarship pledge of $10,000 annually for five years*
  • $25,000: Dean’s Sustainers pledge of $5,000 annually for five years
  • $7,500: Dean’s Society pledge of $1,500 annually for five years

* Limited time: Endowed scholarship commitments are currently being matched dollar-for-dollar by an anonymous donor. This means a $50,000 commitment will create a $100,000 endowed named scholarship, and a $100,000 commitment will create a $200,000 endowed scholarship.
