Education
Dr. Allison Stark completed a medical degree at University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, an internal medicine (primary care and social medicine) residency at Montefiore Einstein, and an integrated fellowship in palliative medicine and geriatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Clinical Focus
As Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of the Montefiore Care Management Organization, Dr. Stark provides physician leadership in the development, implementation and supervision of CMO’s population health, care management and utilization management programs. She also serves as CMO’s principal medical liaison to Montefiore's inpatient, outpatient and Independent Practice Associations (IPAs) and is responsible for value based quality assurance and medical transformation initiatives for over 6000 physicians and 300,000 patients in value based programs. She leads a team of clinicians and specialists at the CMO who are actively engaged care management, utilization management and quality programs. She also helps facilitate clinical integration and transformation efforts across the Montefiore Health System.
Teaching Activity
Dr. Stark's teaching activity focuses on palliative medicine and advanced communication skills. She is particularly interested in providing generalist level palliative care training to clinicians from all specialties and disciplines.
