Congratulations on your acceptance to Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Class of 2028!
We're thrilled to have just mailed your letter to you, and want to get you started on the acceptance process.
You have a few forms to complete now. Please be sure to refer to the Deadline Table below to be sure you do not miss any deadline.
First, please complete our online Acceptance Acknowledgement Form
Second, please read and consider our Technical Standards. After you have read the Standards carefully, kindly complete the online Technical Standards Acknowledgement Form. If you indicate that you will need accommodation, you must provide all documentation to support your request within three weeks of the date of your acceptance; failure to do so may jeopardize your place in the class. Also, failure to be forthright about any accommodations you may need, may jeopardize your place in the class.
Third, you will receive an email from Certiphi on the day your acceptance email/letter is sent, asking for your consent to proceed with a criminal background check. You must respond to this request, immediately, and release your report, by your deadline date. In some cases, reports are delayed for various reasons. We would like to alert you that if you have spent time abroad, or are disputing a find on your criminal background check, your CBC may take longer than two weeks. If that is the case, please notify us immediately. We may have to rescind our offer of admission after one month, but if we receive a satisfactory CBC report in a timely manner, and space is still available in the incoming class, we shall be happy to consider reinstating you upon your request. If you do not receive an email from Certiphi within 48 hours of the day you have received your acceptance, please notify CERTIPHI (Vertical Screen) at 888-291-1369 ext 2006 and contact the Admissions Office at dina.nardi@einsteinmed.edu.You may also initiate your Criminal Background check by visiting: https://applicationstation.certiphi.com/; enter CODE: CERTAAMC2024 and follow all instructions.
Fourth, in 2019, the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) instituted the "Choosing Your Medical School" tool. Here's how it works:
- Beginning February 20, we hope you will select the “Plan to Enroll” feature (but only if you think you will attend Einstein. We know you may change your decision up until you actually "Commit to Enroll.").
- For the 2 week period from April 15 through April 30, narrow your selection(s) to no more than three schools, and withdraw your acceptance(s) from all other schools. Until April 30, applicants can, at the time they make this selection, continue to hold other acceptances, remain on alternate lists, and continue to interview at other schools. If applicants receive new offers, they can update this selection at any time, but they can select only one school at a time.
- Beginning May 1, accepted applicants will have two options to select: “Plan to Enroll” and “Commit to Enroll.” Selecting “Commit to Enroll” indicates that you have made a final selection and withdrawn all other applications. Selecting “Commit to Enroll” does not automatically withdraw applications from other medical schools. Applicants must communicate directly with all schools about their final decision.
- Regular MD accepted applicants must select the "Commit to Enroll" option no later than Friday, July 12; MSTP accepted students must select the "Commit to Enroll" option no later than Friday, May 17.
- If an applicant selects “Commit to Enroll” to a school, all other schools where the applicant also holds an acceptance or alternate-list offer will be notified.
We will send you an email with a link to the "Choosing Your Medical School" website to remind you to make the appropriate selections when the time comes.
Fifth, if you are accepted prior to April 15, you will receive an email on April 15 with instructions on how to pay your deposit of $100, via WebAdMIT, due on April 30. If accepted on or after May 1, your non-refundable deposit is due within 5 days; 2 days if accepted after July 15. You will receive a Gateway invitation to remit your deposit on the day you are accepted.
Sixth, if you are interested in federal and/or need-based institutional aid, please visit our Student Finance website. (Our FAFSA school code is 042797, or you can search for Albert Einstein College of Medicine.) Please direct any financial aid questions to Student Finance stufin@einsteinmed.edu.
Seventh, the orientation schedule will be updated in the early summer; you may also view the academic calendar.
Eighth, Special Interest Student Groups can be contacted as follows:
Ninth, I'd like to invite you to join the "Uncle Albert Club." The Club was founded to connect incoming students with a current student so that any questions you may have about issues concerning lifestyle, diversity, LGBTQI, veteran status, and/or academics can be answered in an open and honest exchange. If you would like to join, please let us know by sending an email to Ms. Dina Nardi at dina.nardi@einsteinmed.edu with UNCLE ALBERT CLUB REQUEST on the SUBJECT line . Please provide us with the name of your undergraduate college, and indicate if there is a special group with whom you would like to communicate. Please indicate that we have your permission to pass along your email, specific interests and/or telephone number to an Einstein student.
Tenth, housing forms will be sent to you under separate email the first week of May.
