Following an open, national search, Mr. Matthew Palombelli joined the Department of Medicine as the new Faculty Practice Administrator on Monday, March 17, 2014.
Mr. Palombelli brings 15+ years of experience in operational, financial, billing, and project management, including 8 years of experience with the Montefiore system. From 1994 to 2001, he was Manager of Support Services and Operations at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. From 2001 to 2006, he was Senior Operations Manager for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Medical College. In 2006, he joined Montefiore Medical Center as Practice Manager for Cardiology, and since 2008 he has been Operations Manager for the Department of Radiology.
Mr. Palombelli holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Fordham University and a Master of Health Care Administration from University of Phoenix. He will replace Ms. Roba Ghanayem, Department of Medicine Faculty Practice Administrator, who accepted a position as the Director of the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Medical Subspecialty Institute in mid January.
