Professional Interests
Dr. Joseph DeLuca is the Associate Division Head in General Internal Medicine, the Director of the Primary Care Section for the Division of General Internal Medicine, and the Medical Director of the Comprehensive Health Care Center (CHCC), the ambulatory site for PC/SM residents and faculty.
Dr. DeLuca received his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University, and his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After completing his residency training in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, he served as Chief Resident, and then joined the faculty of the Primary Care and Social Internal Medicine Residency Programs.
In 2003, Dr. DeLuca was awarded Teacher of the Year by the Montefiore house staff. His teaching and academic interests include: evidence-based medicine, clinical reasoning, and quality assessment and improvement.
