Nikolaos Frangogiannis, MD
Dr. Nikolaos Frangogiannis, a newly recruited faculty member to the Division of Cardiology and to the Wilf Family Cardiovascular Research Institute, was named in January 2011 as the Edmond J. Safra/Republic National Bank Chair in Cardiovascular Medicine.
Dr. Frangogiannis comes to Einstein from Baylor College of Medicine, and is an expert in coronary reperfusion injury. He was recruited by Dr. Richard Kitsis, Dr. Gerald and Myra Dorros Chair in Cardiovascular Disease and Director of the Wilf Family Cardiovascular Research Institute.
