The Core for Single-Molecule Analysis (CSMA) at Einstein is an advanced facility equipped with state-of-the-art microscopes that enable the visualization and manipulation of single molecules in cells or in vitro systems using purified proteins. CSMA stands out due to the integration of optical tweezers with multi-color fluorescence microscopy, facilitating correlative force measurements and fluorescence analysis across various biological processes. This makes CSMA an ideal choice for conducting single-molecule studies on DNA- and RNA-protein interactions, proteasomal degradation, phase separation, cell-cell signaling, immunology, and more.
