An American Museum of Natural History video features Anne Murphy, Ph.D., and her research that shows strained parent-child relationships improve when therapies based on attachment theory are used. Attachment theory refers to the early bond between parent and child is critical to a child's emotional development. Dr. Murphy is assistant professor of pediatrics and associate director of the Center for Babies, Toddlers and Families at Einstein’s Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center.
