  • #65 among all employers,

“This designation reinforces Einstein’s appearance on Forbes’ inaugural list of best midsized employers that occurred last year,” said Gordon F. Tomaselli, M.D., the Marilyn and Stanley M. Katz Dean at Einstein and executive vice president and chief academic officer at Montefiore Medicine. “During this extraordinary time—as we simultaneously confront a devastating pandemic and mount a renewed demand for dismantling systemic racism—this is a welcome acknowledgement from our colleagues, who are so critical in sustaining our distinctly collegial and supportive community.”

“Einstein has long prioritized maintaining an inclusive and positive working environment,” said Yvonne Ramirez, vice president of human resources at Einstein. “Einstein is a truly special place to work and we are pleased and honored to once again rank among the state’s best.”

Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to identify organizations best liked by employees. The rankings in America’s Best Employers by State are based on an independent, online, anonymous survey of more than 80,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees. Surveys were conducted on a rolling basis from October 2019 to May 2020. Responses regarding the same employers were compared throughout the process so as to account for any significant variations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Respondents were asked to rate their employers on a variety of criteria, including safety of work environment, competitiveness of compensation, opportunities for advancement, openness to telecommuting, as well as how likely they’d be to recommend their employer to others and to nominate organizations in industries outside their own.
