  •   AAMC - Careers in Medicine Program - An interactive online tool for career self-assesment and unbiased medical specialty information. Use this year to learn about different medical specialties.  
  • Faculty/Alumni Online Mentoring Program - Find a Faculty members and Alumni who can answer any of your career related questions at all stages of your medical education at Einstein. 
  • Inside the Doctors Studio Sessions - “Inside the Doctors Studio”: a take-off on the television series, “Inside the Actors Studio,” is a series led by students who invite prominent faculty members to discuss all aspects of their professional lives. These sessions are video-captured so those who are unable to attend can subsequently view them. This activity is held bi-monthly throughout the academic year. Annually, there is a session with alumni who are engaged in alternative careers in medicine. 


Departmental Advisor Information

  • Student Interest Groups - At Einstein, there are myriad clubs and interest groups that reflect the professional, educational and social endeavors of the Einstein student body. These clubs and groups offer opportunities to get involved in Einstein’s local Bronx community, take part in the local, regional and national activities of professional organizations, gain insights into specific medical disciplines, engage with fellow students and other members of the Einstein community around like interests and simply to have fun. This is also an opportunity to seek leadership positions to enhance your administrative skills. 
  • Departmental Career Nights - Meet and interact with a Faculty Advisor in one of the following departments - Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Neurosurgery, OB/GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Otolaryngology, Pathology, Pediatrics, Plastic Surgery, Psychiatry, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Rehabilitation Medicine, Surgery and Urology. 
  • Lunch with the Deans - Starting in the late fall, small groups of students meet with two of the deans for student affairs. These lunches provide an opportunity for students to discuss approaches to making career choices and tips for making the most of your clerkships. 
  • Class Meeting Regarding 3rd year - At the beginning of the second semester there is a general overview of 3rd year. At this time students receive their clerkship schedule and information about choosing rotation sites. 
  • Step 1 Prep Program - The Office of Academic Support and Counseling in partnership with the student run Step 1 Club, offers information to help students prepare for the United States Medical Licensing Examination (Step 1). Learn more about the USMLE. 
  • Peer Mentor Network - Senior students offer guidance and specialty-specific advice.” Make sure to include the link.
