Mohammed Saiful Islam KhanMohammed Saiful Islam Khan MBBS, received his Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery in 2002, Bangladesh Medical College, University of Dhaka. He completed his internship and Residency in General Psychiatry, Dept. of Psychiatry at Interfaith Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. He had previously served as a Medical Officer, Kidney Hospital and Dialysis Center (Medicine), Dhaka, Bangladesh after completing a Rotatory Internship Dept. of Medicine/ Pediatrics/ Surgery, Bangladesh Medical College Hospital. Since 2020, he has been teaching medical students from AUA, MUA and Saba University covering Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety Disorder and Substance use disorders as well as teaching junior Residents at Interfaith Medical Center. He has also conducted research on outpatient patients’ experience with telehealth during the Covid-19 pandemic. His letters of recommendation attested to his professionalism and intellect but added that “he always puts the patient first”.

Mohammed Saiful Islam KhanPeter Spyrou MD completed his residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences where he was also the Chief Consult-Liaison Resident, Montefiore Moses, and Chief State Hospital Resident, Bronx Psychiatric Center. He received his MD from New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY after attending University of Virginia Post Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Program, Charlottesville, VA . He attended Middlebury College, Middlebury, VT where he received a Bachelor of Arts Major in Geography with a Minor in Middle Eastern History He has served on the Resident Wellness Committee, Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Co-Chair 2020 – present Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Montefiore Medical Center Class representative serving as liaison between my class and residency training administration 2020 – present Bulbs of Hope, Montefiore Medical Center Utilizing horticultural therapy to cultivate a sense of hope during the Covid-pandemic 2017 – Present Gardens of Healing, Montefiore and WMCHealth Designed and developed vegetable and sensory gardens with Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Nurses, and Social Workers for inpatient and outpatient settings 2015 – 2018 Beyond Bars, Woodfield Cottage Juvenile Detention Center, Valhalla, NY Developed and led health education workshops for incarcerated adolescents. He has been honored with Gold Humanism Honor Society, New York Medical College 2018 James Matthew Hagadus MD Award, New York Medical College Recognition of academic achievement, compassion, sensitivity, intuition and independence of spirit 2010 J. Rowland Illick Prize, Geography Department at Middlebury College Recognition of academic excellence and humanitarian concern.
