The Montefiore Einstein Addiction Medicine
Fellowship Program, is an ACGME-accredited, year-long clinical training
program. The fellowship includes rigorous clinical training in community-based,
inpatient, and outpatient settings; longitudinal clinical experiences in
Federally Qualified Health Centers, opioid treatment programs, and clinics in
medically underserved areas; formal training in addiction medicine; engagement
with community-based organizations; formal training in performance improvement,
and a mentored performance improvement project. Training is supervised by an
interdisciplinary team of nationally-recognized faculty with addiction medicine
expertise. Graduating fellows will be ideally situated to enter the workforce
as addiction medicine physicians leading the treatment of opioid and other substance
use disorders in medically underserved settings.
