Launched by the Department of Family and Social Medicine in 2008, Pulse--voices from the heart of medicine is a weekly online publication that approaches the matter of illness and health from a unique perspective.

Every Friday, Pulse sends readers a first-person healthcare story or poem--written by a patient, student, physician or other health professional. Lovingly edited with busy people in mind, each story is compelling and personal.

Pulse has a growing international readership and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times.
