Engage & Educate: Equipping the New York State Disability Community with Science-Based Information About COVID-19

The VaxFactsDDNY project works to increase access to/understanding of information and resources about COVID-19 among persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. We focus on vaccines and issues that have been exacerbated by COVID-19 or are a direct result of COVID-19 including the long-haul impact of COVID-19, lack of childcare options, impact on children, and mental health effects. We hope to provide tools and resources to deal with the “new normal”.
