Overview of Center/Institute Pilot Grant RFAs
The Institute for Clinical and Translational Research
- Releases one RFA each year.
- Four awardees for $100k each.
- The grant funds are available for one year.
The Einstein-Mount Sinai Diabetes Research Center
- Releases one RFA each year.
- Two or three awardees for $40-50k each.
- The research should be related to diabetes and the grant funds are available for two years.
The Cancer Dormancy and Tumor Microenvironment Institute
- Releases one RFA each year.
- Two awardees for $60k each.
- Each RFA has a different topic and funding is available for up to 3-4 years.
The Center for Diabetes Translation Research
- Releases one RFA each year.
- Two or three awardees for $25-50k each.
- The pilot project should focus on translational diabetes research and the funds are available for 1-2 years.
The Institute for Aging Research
- Releases one RFA each year.
- One awardee for $30k.
- The funds are available for one year.
The Rose F. Kennedy Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (IDDRC)
- Releases one RFA each year.
- Five awardees, each for $20k.
- The research should focus on intellectual and developmental disabilities and funds are available for one year with extensions for a second year available by request
The Einstein-Rockefeller-CUNY Center for AIDS Research (ERC-CFAR)
- Releases two RFAs each year.
- Two-to-five awardees for $50-75K each.
- The research should be HIV related and preference will be given to early-stage investigators in HIV and faculty new to HIV research. The funds are available for one year.
The Montefiore Einstein Cancer Center
- Releases multiple RFAs each year.
- Two awardees for $35k each.
- The funds are available for two years.
The Global Health Center
- Has both a pilot grant program and a microgrant program.
- The frequency and number of RFAs varies year to year.
