Emergency Procedures to a Biological
Exposure
- Remove personnel protective equipment and
provide immediate care to the exposure site:
- Wash site thoroughly with soap and water for 15 minutes.

Do not use harsh detergents or scrub the wound harshly.

If exposure is to the eyes, nose or mouth, flush mucous
membranes with water.
- Notify your supervisor and contact CorVel or
Student Health and seek immediate medical
attention
