There is overwhelming scientific evidence and research that continually reaffirm the value of human milk to the overall health of mothers and infants. Babies in high-poverty areas have a low breastfeeding duration rate due to multiple factors related to poverty, high levels of stress, and other social and cultural norms and conditions. During this session multiple Subject Matter Experts will mobilize community partners and stakeholders to influence breastfeeding practices, resources, and policies affecting breastfeeding in the Bronx.
